He is known for his presence on YouTube playing bass guitar and being one of the last people to work with Prince. It was Mono's eclectic artistry on the bass that first caught Prince's attention in 2014 - Mono ultimately began working in Paisley Park in early 2015 as the bassist for Judith Hill and in late 2015, Prince formed a new band with Mono.
Mono has collaborated with the likes of Mavis Staples, George Clinton, Nas, Ne-Yo, Mac Miller, Georgia Anne Muldrow and Pete Rock, and has played at some of the world's most iconic festivals including Newport Jazz Festival, Montreal Jazz Festival, Summer Camp, Blue Note Jazz Festival, GroundUp, New Orleans Jazz Festival, Life is Beautiful Festival, and more.
