KPD TOURS
Makeshift Parachutes / Kita / Mall Goth Live at Meow
This August, psychedelic exponents Makeshift Parachutes, bring their impeccable live show to 6 venues across the North Island. The tour is to promote their forthcoming single Kool-aid, set to be released on September 1st 2024. The new track was laid down back in May at The Lab studio with producer/engineer Jol Mulholland. Alongside Kool-aid, the band has recorded 4 more tracks that are scheduled for release later this year.
Audience favourites at Auckland's Cross Street and AUM festival’s, Makeshift Parachutes deliver a mind-blowing show filled with cosmic riffage, hypnotically heavy grooves and dimension-ripping dance moves.
Joining them at the Meow are Pōneke's own KITA who are known for melding inspirations of folk, soul, pop and psychedelia with the guitar and spirited storytelling of musician-actor Nikita 雅涵 Tu-Bryant (Avatar 2, Far North); the thick lushness of Moog synth and Fender Rhodes from Ed Zuccollo (Zuke); and the filthy drive and barking drums of Rick Cranson (Little Bushman), KITA have long-since solidified themselves as a must-see live band with a massive sound.
Opening up the night are Local legends Mall Goths who will be bringing their live energy that is not to be missed.
