2022 saw Critical Music celebrate its 20th birthday - Kasra Mowlavi and his Critical Music imprint have grown to be among the most respected names in electronic music.

An in-demand DJ since the label’s earliest days, with a zealous belief in the record label as an art form in itself bolstered by a professional career in the wider music industry, it took until 2018 for Kasra to finally step up as a solo Critical artist in his own right.

Since taking his place among the acts he’d spent years cultivating and championing as a label boss, the Londoner has wasted little time in showing the world that his are for good, honest music goes far beyond just A&R.

The last 4 years have seen Kasra put more than ever into his own productions culminating in a series of EPs , singles and collaborations

“The past 20 years have been incredible, I feel more enthused than ever about what we do and myself as an artist - I cant wait to continue doing what we do. Critical is a real representation of what I love about music - and music means the world to me.”
