The secret is out! Goose Garden is delighted to be showcasing three of the best melancholic indie acts NZ has to offer on Thursday August 24th.

Having just released their debut record, 'How is a Dog So Honest?', Pōneke's Blunt dog are committing to the bit. These canines play sets that dance between Slowcore, Indie Folk and other styles. Having only played a handful of shows, mostly house parties or performing for friends, the group is excited to make their San Fran debut.

Awning is the latest project of NZ music veteran Christian Dimick (Recitals, Avant-Glass). A band that showcases their newest material, showing more restraint than past efforts. With a lineup full of old & new collaborators, the group is quickly becoming one of 2023's local acts to catch.

An acronym/alias for Papaioea grown artist Shannengeorgiapetersen (Fruit Juice Parade, Sports Dreams), SGP is a space for them to exhibit new and "extremely melancholic acoustic guitar music". Fans of Shannen's pensive works are likely to discover their new favourite songs.
