GARDENS MUSIC FESTIVAL UPDATE

  • Gardens Festival has begun the process of moving indoors to Spark Arena

  • Overseas acts FATBOY SLIM, SET MO, LP GIOBBI and PEKING DUK are in the country. Unfortunately John Morales and MissB will no longer be performing.

Due to the weather situation in Auckland we have made the decision to move Gardens Music Festival indoors to Spark Arena, this Sunday, January 29.

We are in the process of working through the logistics of such a move and will make more information available as soon as possible. We are excited about delivering a full scale production, a proper rave at New Zealand’s premier arena and wish to thank all the hard work of event professionals behind the scenes in making this all happen. Thank you to everyone for your patience and support. Will be in touch very shortly.

-------

Join Fatboy Slim & Friends @ GARDENS MUSIC FESTIVAL - at the new home of *SPARK ARENA on SUNDAY, JANUARY 29 2023. Joining Fatboy Slim on the Gardens main stage are US Producer LP GIOBBI, hitmakers PEKING DUK, SET MO, with local performances from DICK JOHNSON.

FATBOY SLIM

Fatboy Slim needs no introduction but we are going to do it anyway. A career spanning over four decades and one of the original godfathers of dance music, Fatboy Slim aka Norman Cook, was a key pioneer of the big beat genre of the nineties, with certified hits “Right Here, Right Now”, “The Rockafeller Skank” and “Praise You” coming from four albums since 1996.

LP GIOBBI

Producer, DJ, pianist, entrepreneur, and activist LP Giobbi is an unstoppable force in the music industry, whose passion for her craft extends far beyond the stage. Since emerging in 2018, the Austin-based piano house queen has played to thousands of fans across the globe, performing on the stages of Coachella, EDC, Firefly, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, and ACL, and supporting such heavyweights as Galantis, SOFI TUKKER, MK, Fatboy Slim, Madeon, and Diplo.

PEKING DUK

Peking Duk are an electronic music group made up of music producers Adam Hyde and Reuben Styles. The pair first garnered attention in 2012 with the release of a Passion Pit bootleg remix. Their biggest hit "High" reached 5 on the ARIA Singles Chart, achieved a triple platinum certification and won the ARIA Award for Best Dance Release at the ARIA Music Awards of 2014. Notable festivals Peking Duk have performed include Rhythm and Vines, Falls Festival, Splendour in the Grass and Big Day Out.

SET MO

They’ve got 100+ million streams and counting, a platinum plaque and multiple golds on their wall, numerous ‘most played’ triple j hits, a global following of committed fans and the undisputed title as one of Australia’s most-adored dance acts. Now, Set Mo kick off their 2022 with an official remix of esteemed electronic rising star Fred Again, share a brand new single, sign a global label deal with AWAL, and tease a few hidden surprises to come along the way. Set Mo are well and truly back - and they’re ready to go.

DICK JOHNSON

Based in Auckland, New Zealand and with a long standing (15 years) weekly show on local radio station George Fm, Dick continues a busy DJ schedule and it’s a rare weekend indeed that he is not behind the decks electrifying a crowd of dedicated followers and testing his tunes on dance floors around New Zealand and beyond.
