The live music scene in Brisbane has certainly had a huge injection of exciting new venues of late and we're pretty excited to check out this newly announced intimate entertainment space at the iconic Tivoli Theatre.

The 250 capacity venue, What's Golden will boast a custom-built stage complete with a new audio and lighting set-up which will sit within The Tivoli's central foyer.

"What's Golden is designed to be more than just another gig venue. It will welcome a varied and eclectic line-up of genre-pushing artists and acts spanning live music, cabaret, stand-up comedy, contemporary performance and curated parties and club night," Said The Tivoli's Co-Owner and Creative Director Dave Sleswick.

Set to open its doors on August 27, the launch event will feature performances by First Beige and Holiday Party, with Pub Choir's Meg Bartholomew taking on MC duties. The venue has also announced a bunch of exciting acts that will be showcasing their talents on the brand new stage including Clea, Grumble N' Friends, The Felice Brothers, Jim Lauderdale, Good Boy, plus more.
