The Smith Street Band Join Laneway Festival Lineup
Laneway Festival has announced Aussie rockers The Smith Street Band will be joining the fully stacked lineup in all five cities on the festival tour.
The addition comes after British singer Jorja Smith announced she would be cancelling three of her scheduled performances at the festival so she can attend the 61st Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, after being nominated for the Best New Artist Award.
Smith will no longer perform at Laneway in Adelaide, Melbourne or Fremantle, but will still perform in Brisbane and Sydney.
"Jorja has (deservedly) been nominated for a Grammy Award in the prestigious Best New Artist category and will be attending the awards, which clash with the second weekend of the Laneway Festival's national run," Laneway organisers said.
Today's lineup changes come after organisers added five new acts to their roster last week including Sweater Curse, Tasman Keith, RAT!hammock, Wing Defence and Carla Geneve.
In light of Smith's cancellation, Laneway has also announced a special Jorja Smith headline performance at Melbourne's Forum Theatre on Friday 1 February.
Refunds for Laneway's Adelaide, Melbourne, and Fremantle events are available until 10 am Wednesday, 16th January. Click HERE to request a refund.
