Words by South Summit:

We wanted to highlight some of the songs that have shaped our sound and creative process. These artists have played a huge role in inspiring our songwriting, production, and overall vibe. We also blast these tracks to get us in the right mood when we're on the road or about to jump in the studio.

'SpottieOttieDopaliscious' by Outkast

The way Outkast transitions between sounds and vibes is insane. SpottieOttieDopaliscious is a seven-minute jam, and we love stretching out and vibing like that in our own way. Outkast was a big part of our childhood, so you already know they've left their mark on our music.

'Dreams' by Fleetwood Mac

Fleetwood Mac was all about that band chemistry, and that's something we really connected with. Writing feel-good music, creating together-it's everything. 'Dreams' is a timeless classic that's perfect for the speakers when on the road.

'Easier Said Than Done' by Thee Sacred Souls

A cool and soulful band we've been jamming recently, an awesome song that's a vibe.

'Boy King' by LAB

When we were writing our new album we were cruising through New Zealand blasting Boy King, and you can say we were definitely inspired. Every track on this L.A.B. album (L.A.B. IV) flows so seamlessly, and that's something we try to bring into our own music.

'Natural Mystic' by Bob Marley & The Wailers

The whole 'Exodus' album has been imprinted in our heads since we were kids. It's not just about the music; it's about the message. Bob's words, his vibe-it's shaped the way we see ourselves and the stories we want to tell. Natural Mystic is just pure magic.
