Benee

Well, what can we say? We're a little Benee obsessed over here. Can you blame us though?! She's New Zealand's breakout act of 2019 and ever since the release of her debut single 'Tough Guy' in 2017, we've been hooked. Since her first release, the alt-pop powerhouse has continued to kick goals and has even gone viral on apps like TikTok. If we had to choose our favourite track it would have to be 'Supalonely'. The sun-dappled, funky AF track that also features rising US singer Gus Dapperton. If you're having a tough day, do yourself a favour and give this track a listen.

Daffodils

Since sharing their debut single 'Two Angels' at the end of 2017, the local Auckland four-piece have been on the rise, opening for acts including Foals, Pale Waves, and more recently Canadian country star Orville Peck. If we could only listen to one Daffodils song on repeat for an entire day it would have to be 'Boys'.

JessB

New Zealand rapper JessB is absolutely dominating right now. She's supported big names like Stormzy and Little Simz and shows no sign of slowing down any time soon. Her latest 2020 release 'Pon It', certainly caught our attention and we can't wait to see what's on the horizon for this talented boss.

Mild Orange

Since early 2017, Dunedin indie rockers Mild Orange have continued to reach higher heights, growing leaps and bounds since their debut release 'Stranger'. After a massive year touring Europe and the UK, Mild Orange have knuckled down in the studio and today release their self-titled second album 'Mild Orange'. BRB, getting stuck into the album now!

Yoko-Zuna

Yoko-Zuna is a progressive electronic four-piece hailing from Auckland. They've been a staple in the local scene since the release of their debut album 'This Place Here' in 2015, and their unique blend of hip-hop-infused electronic beats leaves us wanting more. A personal favourite of ours would have to be their track Orchard St featuring wickedly talented Kiwi hip hop artist Tom Scott.
