As social distancing continues in this time of uncertainty, many artists from across the globe have taken to social media to give the fans what they want, streaming performances live from their living rooms.

If you've reached maximum boredom levels in self-iso or a little overwhelmed by the sheer volume of live stream events popping up, we've got your back. The State of Music

Mushroom Group in collaboration with the Victorian Government has launched a new initiative in the form of a weekly live-stream series called 'The State of Music'. The series features performances and interviews from Australia's best musical talents. Episode 1 which launched on Sunday 3 May, features Birds of Tokyo, Diesel, James Reyne, G Flip and Michael Gudinski (re-watch the episode HERE). Episode 3 kicks off this Sunday 17 May. The ever so loveable NZ pop powerhouse BENEE is taking on the world of YouTube, dishing out fun weekly episodes every Tuesday from 10 am NZST on her YouTube Channel that are based around her tracks. The first episode features the musician take on baking a cake inspired by her song 'Find an Island'. Check it out below.

Coopers Live, Loud & Local 

Snuggle up in front of your TV, Tablet or Smart Phone and enjoy a virtual pub experience thanks to Coopers. John Course DJ Sets

Iconic Melbourne Disc Jockey John Course brings classic and future house anthems to your living room every Saturday night. We Are One: A Global Film Festival

Some of the world's most renowned film festivals are joining forces to bring fans a 10-day virtual festival streamed exclusively on YouTube. The festival will run from 29 May - 7 June with major film festivals including Cannes, Sundance, Sydney Film Festival, Tribecca and BFI London all getting in on the action. A full schedule will be released closer to the launch date.

Bad Seed TeeVee

Nick Cave & The Bad Seed have launched a 24-hour YouTube channel that features videos, interviews, live performances and more. Tune in below.

In Vino Veritas 

The team behind the comedy and wine extravaganza, Grapes of Mirth are inviting fans to a limited access Zoom party every Friday night until mid-May. In Vino Veritas will feature live Q&A's with some of Australia's funniest comedians. Spots are limited so don't forget to register your interest HERE to secure a spot! Crowded House frontman Neil Finn is streaming live from his home every day from 3 pm L.A. Time (That's 8 am AEST), performing songs from his back catalogue as well as some sneaky covers. Sydney Opera House Digital Season

The iconic Sydney Opera House has just launched a digital season of streamed events to replace their live events calendar during the lockdown. The first of the digital series launched on April 1, with a new schedule announced every Tuesday, running from Wednesday to Sunday every week.

The series will feature podcasts, virtual 360-degree tours, videos of past Opera House shows and more. This week's schedule features a screening of Missy Higgins's debut performance on Valentine's Day last year, artist and writer Chanel Miller's talk at this year's All About Women festival, highlights from Dance Rites 2019, Australia's annual First Nations dance competition and heaps more! Live Nation & Vodafone NZ Lounge Jams

Vodafone NZ in partnership with Live is bringing a live stream concert series to your screens, featuring some of the best home-grown Kiwi talents, in support of MusicHelps Live. The line-up includes singer-songwriters, Dave Dobbyn and Hollie Smith. Check out Vodafone Lounge Jams HERE.


Over the past nine weekends, Aussie acts including Stella Donnelly, Julia Jacklin, The Chats, Josh Pyke, Eskimo Joe, Harvey Sutherland, Angie McMahon, Middle Kids and a whole bunch more have been performing live 20-minute sets via Instagram, in an effort to give back to those hugely affected from the coronavirus shutdown.

The streaming festival will be back this weekend with acts yet to be announced. Viewers who tune in are encouraged to donate to a fundraiser set up for Support Act, an organisation that provides relief services for music industry workers facing mental health issues or financial hardship.

Beat Magazine Live Sessions

Aussie music magazine, Beat have just launched their very own live-streamed gig series. The live stream will feature 30-minute sets live-streamed on their Instagram story. The first instalment featured back-to-back sets from psychedelic space pop outfit Zoë Fox and the Rocket Clocks and indie-pop quintet Georgia June.

Milan's Temple Of The Lost Future - Worlds Longest DJ Set 

A nightclub in Milan, Italy is making very good use of their time by attempting to break the world record for Longest DJ Set. The current record is held by Nigeria's DJ Obi, lasting a whopping 240 hours. Milan's Temple Of The Lost Future is hoping to exceed it with a goal of 340 hours. The set is being streamed from within the club and will also feature conversations with dance music artists and promoters from across the world. The set is already underway, check out the stream via Youtube.

DJ Tigerlily

Every Sunday @ 5pm AEST

Sydney based DJ and producer DJ Tigerlily will be providing the good vibes every Sunday straight from her backyard, kicking off at 5 pm AEST. She'll also be joined by some special guests too so stay tuned! You can catch her weekly live sets via Facebook and Instagram.

Peking Duk

For those that aren't able to catch that live stream of your fave act. Aussie electronic duo Peking Duk have got your back, uploading a fortnightly mix to their youtube account to see you through your isolation lockdown. Check out their first mix HERE.

Sydney house producer Hayden James is bringing fans a weekly live DJ set streamed every Saturday at midday AEST over on his YouTube channel for the foreseeable future. Subscribe to his channel for updates HERE

MSO Live

With Melbourne Symphony Orchestra announcing the suspension of all concerts with audiences, every Thursday night from 7.30 pm AEST, the MSO will continue to perform some gigs behind closed doors which they'll be live-streaming for free. The series kicked off with Russian composer Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade at Hamer Hall.

Levi's 5:01 Live

Denim kings Levi's are hosting a live stream every weekday at 5:01 pm featuring a bunch of awesome muso's including Snoop Dog, Taboo Nawasha from Black Eyed Peas, Ravyn Lenae and more. Tune in via their Instagram HERE.

Melbourne Zoo and Werribee Open Range Zoo
