It's been nearly three years since the band's last run of magical performances outside the Sydney Opera House, so we were pretty excited when we saw rock icons Crowded House on the bill for Bluesfest in 2020.

Crowded House is a long-standing and much-loved vehicle for the songwriting talents of Neil Finn. Formed in Melbourne in 1985, their self-titled debut album was a global hit, especially their tracks "Don't Dream It's Over" and "Something So Strong".

In 1996, with four studio albums under their belts, the band performed their last ever show on the steps of the Sydney Opera House, to a crowd of well over 100,000 people.

In 2005, following the tragic death of Paul Hester, Crowded House was revived, this time with new drummer Matt Sherrod and long-time touring member Mark Hart, releasing their comeback album 'Time On Earth' and then another album, 'Intriguer', in 2009. In 2016, Crowded House was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame.

Following Neil's recent world tour with Fleetwood Mac, Neil and Nick are bringing Crowded House back for a re-energised live experience with an exciting new line-up, including a special guest appearance by Crowded House producer and respected keyboardist Mitchell Froom.
