Bushfire Relief: Check Out The Events & Artists Donating Funds To The Cause

It's a devastating time for Australians, as fires continue to rage across the country. In a bid to help the communities and volunteers affected, a slew of gigs have been popping up across the country, with proceeds being donated to bushfire relief initiatives.

Over the holiday break, we saw Falls Festival in Lorne cancelled due to extreme fire risk. Artists on the bill, including Halsey, Yungblud, G Flip, Baker Boy and Peking Duk performed impromptu gigs around Melbourne, with tens of thousands of dollars from the gigs going towards fire relief in Victoria and interstate.

Holy Holy, Ali Barter, Amyl and the Sniffers, Waax, Lime Cordiale and These New South Whales were also amongst the Falls Festival artists to lend a hand.

Since the cancellation of the festival, more and more fundraising events have started popping up, including two sold-out relief shows run by First Nations artist DRMNGNOW at The Gasometer Hotel and Northcote Social Club, Yours & Owls Fire Fund at Windang Bowling Club and Secret Sounds Make It Rain two-night event at The Beach Hotel in Byron Bay, just to name a few.

Global chart-topping artist Tones and I has also partnered with Melbourne's 170 Russell, hosting a show at the end of the month, which sold out within minutes earlier today.

We are beyond amazed at the solidarity within the music industry and will be donating all ticketing fees for each event to their elected charity, with over $10,000 already being raised. Live Nation Entertainment's Australian businesses including Live Nation Australia and New Zealand, Secretsounds, Ticketmaster and Moshtix are also pledging $500,000 to support bushfire relief efforts.
