Join us for a magical Christmas experience, with a themed journey to get you in the festive spirit.

Departing at 10am from the Dunedin Railway Station, expect a full morning of yuletide joy, entertainment and treats including an appearance by a very special guest. Everyone is encouraged to wear PJs - just like the characters from the Polar Express!

The Christmas Inlander will run between Dunedin and Hindon. This return 3 ½ hour trip is an iconic scenic journey, travelling towards Central Otago with picturesque landscapes of hills and gorges, bridges and tunnels, pastureland and forests. It follows part of the route of the historic Otago Central Railway, constructed during Otago's Gold Rush.

Drinks and food are available for purchase from the on-board Café.
