Blues and BBQs Unveil Spectacular Line-Up for 12th Anniversary Festival.

Festival enthusiasts, mark your calendars! The highly anticipated 12th anniversary of the recently rebranded "New Zealand Blues and BBQs" festival is set to take place from November 24th to 26th, 2023, at the scenic Village Green in Rotorua.

New Zealand Blues and BBQs are thrilled to reveal an exceptional line-up for this year's festival, featuring an impressive roster of international and homegrown artists. Prepare to be mesmerized by the following acts, among others:

  • - 19-Twenty (AUS)
  • - Fiona Boyes and the Fortune Tellers (AUS)
  • - "Sir" Midge Marsden
  • - Grant Haua
  • - Additional artists to be announced

The overwhelming support from blues fans throughout New Zealand has been instrumental in the festival's continued success. Artists relish the opportunity to perform at Blues and BBQs, where they encounter an exuberant and devoted audience in the breathtaking setting of Rotorua. Year after year, we are privileged to secure the remarkable talent for this event.

Given the limited availability of only 3000 tickets daily, an early sellout is anticipated. The organizers are well aware of the heightened expectations of this year's crowd and are committed to surpassing them. "We have an exceptional line-up in store and are prepared to deliver the best festival experience yet," said Event Manager James Bristow.

The mouth-watering BBQ side of the Blues and BBQ Festival will be managed by locals Shaun and Alia Branson, Winners of TVNZ’s Cooks On Fire.

“Our barbecue journey really started by entering competitions with our team Black Label Barbecue, so Shaun and I are stoked to be sharing this experience with our Rotorua community,” says Alia Branson.

At the festival you will have the opportunity to check out New Zealand’s best pitmasters as they compete in two internationally sanctioned BBQ competitions. While these teams are cooking purely for the judges, there will be many delicious vendors covering your favourite Hot & Fast and traditional Low & Slow Barbecue.

For those wanting to up their own BBQ game there will be a range of BBQ related retailers ready with deals and a schedule of demonstrations, tastings & classes will be available over the Festival weekend.
