A Carnivore's Paradise of BBQ, Music and Madness!

Meatstock, the barbecue and music lover's dream, is back after a 3-year hiatus, and boy, has it come a long way since its last appearance in town. Mystery Creek Events Centre, Hamilton, is set to come alive with the sizzle of grills, the aroma of smoked meat, and some seriously outrageous scenes on the 24th and 25th of February, 2024. Following the tremendous success of last year's Meatstock in Australia, which drew over 60,000 attendees, New Zealand is ready to embrace its own carnivore's paradise.

If an offset smoker and an electric guitar had a baby, it would be Meatstock. It's a sensory explosion that combines the best live fire barbecue experts and pitmasters in the country with an epic lineup of live music, entertainment, and competitions.

The Jack Daniel’s live stage, at the heart of the festival, will host a sensational lineup of musical talent. On Saturday, February 24th, the amazing rock and reggae lineup includes New Zealand legends Shihad, Katchafire, The Black Seeds, and more. On Sunday, New Zealand’s own country music superstar Kaylee Bell takes the stage along with Australian country music sensation Casey Barnes, supported by Tami Neilson, YahYah and Big Tasty.

But we know Meatstock isn't just about the music. It's a celebration of the art of barbecue. NZ local heroes like Big Smoke BBQ and Black Label Barbecue will be joined by international sensations such as Black Iron Smokers. This year you can also check out the Jack Daniel’s cooking area, a hub for local and international pitmasters, hosted by none other than Jared Macdonald, a renowned celebrity pitmaster.

The excitement doesn't end with music and barbecue. Meatstock pushes the boundaries for entertainment, this year debuting a brand-new Medieval Combat Village, which will transport you back in time with Buhurt battle scenes, axe throwing, and archery tag. You can also witness barbecue cook-offs, Butcher Wars, Beard and Mo Wars, Dad-bod contests, custom cars, Strongman championships, arm wrestling, and need-to-be-seen-to-be-believed competitive eating events.

This year, Meatstock Hamilton is offering a huge selection of ticket options to get down to the grounds, and is excited to announce this year there will be on-site camping options available, so you can make it a full weekend of meaty, music-filled madness.
