PRESENTS

JORDAN RAKEI

Friday, 27 January 2023

Multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and producer Jordan Rakei today announces his homecoming headline tour across Australia and New Zealand tour next January.

Known for his soulful jazz and R&B-driven sound, the 30-year-old artist will kick off his tour in Melbourne (January 13) followed by stops in Brisbane (January 14), Sydney (January 17), Auckland (January 20) before wrapping the tour in Wellington (January 27).

Tickets go on sale to the public Friday 26 August at 11am local.

My Live Nation members can secure tickets first during the My Live Nation presale beginning 10am, Thursday August 25 until 10am Friday August 26.

For complete tour and ticket information, visit: livenation.com.au or livenation.co.nz.

Widely acclaimed for his timeless releases, Jordan Rakei is a rare talent. Although born in New Zealand, Jordan spent most of his childhood in Brisbane, allowing both countries to lay claim to his incredible gifts. After releasing his first few EPs and garnering Northern Hemisphere attention, Jordan relocated to London in 2014 and in the years since has released four highly praised albums.

Hailed by names like Gilles Peterson as one of the great musical talents of our time, Jordan has collaborated with the likes of Bonobo, Loyle Carner, Tom Misch, Yussef Dayes, Disclosure, Jorja Smith, FKJ and Nightmares on Wax to name just a few. He’s played global stages such as Glastonbury, SXSW and the North Sea Jazz Festival, and his 2020 NPR Tiny Desk Concert was watched the world over before he followed up with a guest feature on Bonobo’s 2022 entry into the same series.

It’s been a mammoth four years since Jordan’s last tour of the region in 2018, and this return home comes off the back of his critically acclaimed fourth album What We Call Life. These are not-to-be-missed shows for Australian and New Zealand audiences.
