Practical Hand-On Pruning of Fruit Trees: Mosgiel
Boost your pruning confidence. Good pruning = good fruiting!
Donal Ferguson, from NZ Treecrops Association - Otago, will show you the tools to use, when to prune, choosing a shape and the power of training (not cutting).
There will be some theory indoors, along with an outdoors demonstration.
Donal will give demonstrations on Silverstream School's fruit trees. You may even get to have a go at pruning.
Please dress warmly and wear closed in footwear. Bring your rain jacket/umbrella.
Meet outside the Silverstream School Reception area in Green Street (just through the main gate).
Afternoon tea and a hot cuppa will be provided.
