Expect to see smoke billowing from grills in one of Auckland’s oldest boat sheds as chefs dish up burgers, pulled pork and grilled chicken for the crowds.In celebration of NZ’s finest wood-smoked meats and hot and spicy treats, Culley’s are launching their first ever Smoke & Spice Festival, proudly supported by Jack Daniels and Auckland’s 90.2 The Rock.
Three awesome sessions will run during the day and into the evening on 21st November 2020. Bringing together your favourite BBQ brands to offer up free tastings, competitions, music and awesome vibes.
We’ve got Masterclasses held by the infamous Noel “BBQ Jesus” Hassapladakis- the BBQ guru & deeply passionate coach on how-to que both low & slow as well as hot 'n fast grilling & smoking.
Take home a life-long memento and visit renowned Tattoo artist; Kes Kenney from Two Hands Tattooin Ponsonby. We’ll be running jalapeño eating contests throughout the day, free samplings withThe Four Saucemen and Culley’s– and if things get a bit too hot – visit Epic Beer for some thirst-quenching craft beers, and Jack Daniels and sample a range of their smooth Tennessee Whiskeys.
Check out The Rock Chop Shop for a free haircut and awesome giveaways. Visit the Jack Daniels BBQ pit, treat yourself to one of Ice Cream Social’s awesome desserts and sample some delicious tender wood-smoked meats from the Big Smoke BBQ truck cooked fresh on-site.
Plus, our evening session presents legendary DJ and fellow hot sauce lover, Dan Aux 7pm-10pm
